Purpose: The purpose of this activity is for the
individual to following simple directions through a sequencing activity in
order to complete a simple task. They have to problem solve and identify with
the picture and the colors that were used while using fine motor skills to pin
the color pegs in the correct spots. This activity is also a visual sensory
exposure to the different colors when pegged into the light. It is also used
through touch when sorting through the pegs in order to find the correct color.
Across the body techniques are or can be used by placing the pegs on the
opposite side of the individual’s dominant hand and also used when placing pegs
on the opposite side than the dominant on the picture itself. Fine motor skills
are used when selecting and sorting through the different colors and pegging
the pegs into the board.
